General Note
Originally released as a Mexican television series that aired in late 2008 through mid 2009. It was a remake of Cadenas de Amargura (1991). The series premiered in the United States July 7, 2009 on Univision and ended its run on March 7, 2010.

Description
Paloma es una joven que tras la muerte de sus padres, se ve obligada a vivir en casa de sus tías, Macarena y Carlota. La primera es cariñosa y solidaria, mientras que la segunda es represiva, autoritaria y cruel. Un secreto de familia es guardado celosamente por ellas, el cual, si se descubriera, cambiaría la vida de Paloma. Emiliano, un encantador muchacho, llegará a la vida de la joven. Pero éste no sólo es novio de Romina, su mejor amiga, sino que también es un hombre odiado por su tía Carlota, lo cual hace más difícil que se consume su amor. No obstante la joven pareja luchará incansablemente, en nombre del amor--Container.
Description
After her parents' death, Paloma is forced to live with her two spinster aunts, Macarena and Carlota. They guard a secret that could change everything for her and the entire family. Macarena is kind and loving while Carlota seems to enjoy making Paloma`s life miserable. Carlota is responsible for ending Paloma`s relationship with Inaki. Just when she was about to give up on love, Paloma falls for Emiliano which could mean trouble since he is her best friend's boyfriend, and Carlota hates him.
